I have been involved in boating all of my life.  I grew up on a canal on the Atlantic.  Growing up my family owned powerboats.  In my early teens I discovered sailing and within a few years began teaching sailing, water skiing and boathanding to children and young adults.  After college I moved to California and in my late 20's, I moved aboard my own sailboat.  I have lived on a number of different sailboats ever since.

Teaching boating has always been a passion of mine. I have participated in the Sea Afloat Oceanographic Project, taking children out to sea and teaching them about the ocean and its inhabitants.  As the on-the-water instructor and advisor for Silver Gate Yacht Club's Junior Sailing Program, I regularly supervise budding sailors.  I teach couples how to sail, live aboard and cruise on their own boats.  I teach powerboaters how to dock and maneuver  their boats.

I have worked as captain, crew, underwater photographer and videographer aboard research vessels, a two-person submarine and its mothership, as well as on private yachts.  I am a professional photographer, a published author and the creator of "Ocean Harmony", a sailing and scuba-diving relaxation video.  I have delivered boats from Hawaii, up and down the US West Coast and skippered many boats along both coasts as well as in the Caribbean.

Boating is my lifestyle and my history. Let me help make it part of yours!
